you only need to know that it is not high. does it have an international ranking? i don't think so. the uni almost doesn't exist as a separate uni but latrobe didnt want to run it i think so they set up a separate uni.

suppose a person don't have an work experience and all the way he taken admission for master of info. mgmt studies?
after completion of course what salary he expect as fresher?
i heard after completion aud $ 28000 can get as fresher.
does he will get job realated in IT field?

University of Ballarat is not that high ranked university. It is good for studying mining engineering related courses.

Overall Experience

This is a worst university.There are lecturers who mostly psychopaths here.ITMS-Information Technology,Mining.Mostly Senior lecturers are Australians and tutorial lecturers are Indian with a horrible english. You need paitence if you want to study 2 years here.The Indian community is pretty annoying and odd.Its difficult and deal ,study with Amatuers in this University.

Admissions are easy in the university and its all revenue based university.People in this locality do not the value of an International student and their money.Its the cheapest University in Australia.

I got my self funded in State Bank of India Coimbatore.

Its a lazy university,they do not even arrange proper Syllabus in the university

Worst Bus service here and Commercial areas are ready to close at any time.Its easy to get accomodation but difficult to be with Indians here.There are no student union here.University accomodation is the worst.Please dont ever try to get into that locality.Its a waste of money.Most of the students are treated like convicts

Job Prospects

No jobs in this town. If you get jobs,its not worth working in the restuarant. There is an IBM company here in which they recruit non IT people for Helpdesk,its very odd. Ballarat and University of Ballarat is not a place to live and study.. If you decide to come here and please be ready to face all these. There is no exposure or community to interact.

Beware of the use of ranking's when you come to choose your Australian University. Each one ranks differently and you really need to know what the ranking is measuring.
I suggest you also look to graduate outcomes as an indication of success for your choice of program. EG How many are employed and in what space of time after they have finished their programs?? After all getting a job is what it's all about isnt it?
