Default Relationship between human and nature

The one discipline that, sad to say, has hitherto remained virtually untouched by any concern for the environment or the human-to-nature relationship is psychology. You will search in vain in the texts and journals of any of the major schools of psychology—clinical, behaviorist, cognitive, physiological, humanistic or transpersonal—for any theory or research concerning the most basic fact of human existence: the fact of our relationship to the natural world of which we are a part.
Any thoughts on whether your relationship with nature is or should be a genuine concern?

Thumbs up

of course man's relationship with nature is and shud ba genuine concern. it is so because man and nature are in constant contact with each is forever depending on nature for all its need. there is a need of perfect equilibrium between the interaction of humans with nature. there can be perfect equilibrium between the both only if us humans work towards it. when we take something from nature we need to give it time to replenish itself. we need to understand that nature would be destroyed if we overburden it with our unending needs.
with such busy lives it has become almost impossible to understand, admire and enjoy the beauty of nature. tell me when did u last stop to see a small child or a puppy play with a puddle of water on the road..when did u last stay up late night just watching the silver moonlight of a full moon..when did u last wake up early to just watch those first rays of the sun.. when did u last shed ur umbrella and get wet in the rain and play like a child who gets his first toy..
